PwC Consulting Seeks New Name

PwC Consulting the management and technology consulting arm of accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers said on Tuesday it is seeking a new name in a move to distance itself from its parent. The abrupt announcement demonstrates the extent to which a tight connection between auditing and consulting practices has become a liability in post-Enron financial markets. We do feel that a new name is critical to our business moving forward said a PwC Consulting spokeswoman. PwC Consulting which is proceeding with plans to go public adopted its current name in October. The group has not yet identified a new name and said it is working with corporate image consultants and seeking input from its staff to settle on its new brand.
